- Do it need to book other travel arrangements
through you to use the HakuBus service?
No!! If all you need is a transfer then go right ahead and
just book that. We do have a number of excellent deals on
other travel items, so please take a look at our HakubaHotels.com

- I'm a travel agent. Can I book my customers onto
this service?
You sure can. Please send us an email to
bookings@hakubus.com
and we'll get info to you. We do however only allow fully
licensed travel professionals to book this service, so please let
us know your registration details.
- I'm worried my flight will be delayed and miss the bus.
What should I do?
Where possible, we will wait for flights that we know have
been delayed.
If your flight is well and truly delayed, there will be
times where we have to leave. If you do miss the bus, we have a
hot line set up to get you a hotel near the airport, so you
can complete your trip to Hakuba on public transportation
the following day. You can also go to the information
counter in the arrival lobby and ask them to call us. Please take out travel insurance to cover
the costs of missed connections.
*To date every passenger we have had booked
from the airport has got to Hakuba the same evening (as of
Jan 7th 2010).
- How long does the trip take?
The service is scheduled to take 5 hours. However due to
weather and road conditions, there are times when the
service may be delayed.
- How do I get to my hotel in Hakuba?
About 1 hour before your arrival in Hakuba, our driver will
call us and let us know the bus ETA. We will then call
around all the hotels that have our passengers checking in
and let them know when to come and pick you up. In most
cases the hotel staff will be waiting for you when the bus
pulls in. If you are at all concerned about getting to the
hotel, please book our door to door service for an extra
400yen per person and let us worry about getting you to the
hotel.
Our service has wide support in the Hakuba community and the
odds are that we will know your hosts.
- After a long flight the last thing I want to do
is be squashed into a coach for 5 hours. Is the trip going
to be comfortable?
Having been in the travel industry for over 10 years, we
know that the last thing you want is to be put through hell
after a long haul flight. We have taken a number of
measures to ensure your comfort.
- We only book each bus to 75% capacity. This allows all
luggage and passengers to travel in safety and comfort.
- All buses are modern, and are of a high grade. Seats have
a greater pitch than in most similar buses.
- We schedule 2 comfort stops along the way at highway
service areas. Passengers can use the lavatory and purchase
snacks and drinks.
- Our buses wait until all guests are safely picked up by
their hosts, or delivered to their accommodation before
leaving. You will never have to wait outside in the cold.
- How do I pay for the Hakubus Shuttle?
After making an online reservation via the booking form, we
will send you full confirmation details. Included in this
are details for payment. In general payments are made by
credit card (Visa or MasterCard), but we can arrange banks
transfers also. Either way, you do not pay for your trip
until you are happy that the correct details have been sent.
- Can I change my dates?
You can change your travel dates at no cost up until 14 days
before travel. If you change dates less than 14 days before
date of travel there is a charge of 2,000yen per person.
